I'd be flying from Louisville, Kentucky. When I checked on Travelocity, it was 23 hours and change, haha. I couldn't even imagine spending that long on a plane. With layovers, it would definitely take more than a day to get to Australia.

Sydney or London?
--> Sydney for sure

Been to sydney and being that i live in England, i have been to London many a times.

Sydney is in a league of its own, with so many things to do and see. You also have the opportunity to travel ro Melbourne as the two are reasonable close (Reasonably for Australia that is!).

Though the weather in Sydney during the winter can be harsh, nothing compared to british winter. But that does not stop you having an awesome time.

I have been to Sydney four times now and took a gap year around Australia before i started uni, so if you need any help with the Australian info then let me know and i will send you my email addy.

Hope this helps

I'd say Sydney... But that's because I'm from Denmark and London is 1½ away and Sydney is on the other side of the world, so I don't know what I'd do if I were you! I'd love to go to Sydney myself but then again, it's because it's so far away and so different I could go to London this weekend if I wanted to so it's not that exotic

Go for sydney, weathers more than likely not gunna be to great in london even if it is summer! never beent o sydney but would expect thees a lot more to do there! Londons great if you like the grey city life, shops people and the normal tourist attractions, but syney seems like a brighter place.

hello!
Im sure this is a little late seeings its just winter here, but who knows you might still be deciding!
I live in sydney and some winter days can get cold...like previous people said about 15degrees, but the lowest it would get would only be a couple of degrees belpow that. Our winter is fairly mild compared to that over european countries...and im sure the weather would be alot nicer tooo!
Hope that helps!
