I also met my current sweetie when we were both working on a ship! Ship romances are notorious for being firey, passionate, and......short (although quite wonderful, and I could spend hours reminiscing about some of my flings!!). Some work out forever, but most don't. Just keeping an open mind but a good hold on your heart.

A couple of my friends worked on cruise ships for a while and they told me that the employees were not allowed to have sex on the ship! They'd get fired if they were caught! They "fooled around" with quite a few fellow cruise ship workers and passengers, but no sex... What a bummer! Just the opposite of the GOs in Club Med resorts; they are encouraged to have sex with the clients and even have condoms handed out to them during staff meetings!!

Oh My God!!!!We had a similar set of rules when I was a holiday rep a few years back, we were told be would be instantly fired if we were caught having sex with our holiday makers or getting involved with co workers!!!At the same time we were told to seduce the customers to get more money out of them and if that meant having sex with them so be it!!!Eh how does that work?!?!Vicious circle or what?!?!?Our auful boss however was happily working her way around every member of the male staff!!!So funny!!!!
A guy I know worked for the Navy and suddenly changed his mind and is now some kinda co captain on a cruise ship.....hes working on a ship with for the over 60s so I guess the appeal to sleep with customers isnt so great as hes only in his twenties but still they are given strict rules on not having sex with passengers!Hes also not supposed to get involved with co workers but from what hes told me hes had some pretty passionate rendezvous with the dancers and theres some pretty extraordinary photos he has shown me?!?!
Cruise ships sounds like so much fun!

My holiday romance started in Pere Lachaise cemetary about 2 and a half years ago. I don't know about sunshine - I guess gravestones do it for me! Anyway, the distance is a challenge but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I don't get to spend Valentines with him, but a package in the mail is a close second. ;)

Awh l hope the postal strike in Belfast hasnt ruined it all for you? You will be glad to know ended today but they are stating it will take up to 4 weeks to clear back log!

Heather:)

It did! No package came and none was received. For the price I paid to send it air mail so it would get there in time, I might as well have sent it by pogo stick!

Oh dear, James - sleep deprivation is taking its toll on you. ;)
