I'm so excited! Summer Olympics doesn't really do much for me, but I can't think of anything better than Olympic hockey, ski racing, luging, etc. Hell, for 2 weeks out of the year, I'll even put my machoism aside and watch figure skating (mostly for the girls in the outfits, but hey). And curling, I have no idea who actually plays this sport, but I'll be damned if I can't enjoy drinking beer while watching this sport for hours on end.
So come on, what's your country gonna medal in? As for the Yanks, our skiers are FINALLY on par (if not better) than the rest of the world, so I'm looking for big things out of Bode and company. I wish we had a better chance in hockey, but it'll still be fun to watch. Speed skating, well, I guess we have a good chance in that, though that's one sport I have difficulty getting too involved in.
USA! USA! USA!
USA! USA! USA!
Hmm... wait now... who won gold in men's AND women's hockey last time round...? Lemme think...
Ah, excuses, excuses.
I love watching anything during the Olympics - even wrestling. Doesn't matter - I like the pure competition of it. The CBC often shows competitions that don't even involve Canadians, so it's nice to see how other countries are faring, too. It's an event that certainly brings the world together!
I'll be keeping track of the Olympics too. I kinda like figure skating, even though I don't skate at all. And it's in Turin.

I think one of the best things to come out of the last Winter Games was an ESPN commercial. It featured one of the Canadian players (can't remember exactly which one) sitting in the ESPN cafeteria having lunch next to one of the ESPN commentators. The exchange went something like this:
Commentator: "What are you eating".
Canadian Hockey Player: "Uh, a cheeseburger".
Commentator: "What kind of cheese is that?"
CHP: "Uh, American cheese".
Commentator: "That's right American cheese, American cheese!"
Apparently the UK might win a medal in 'Skeleton Luge'.
Michelle Kwan pulled out. Best news of the day.
From one Minnesotan to another... Congrats to Tony Benshoof for finishing 4th in the Men's Luge!!!!!! Well done!!!!!
