hello fellow travellers, i noticed people rated thunder bay as worst city
thats where i live
and i agree its not a good place to really visit for the city
the outdoor asppects of the city are good though
but the city could be a whole lot better

Nelson or anywhere in the Slocan Valley. 420 land!

agreed on the Thunder Bay thing...the region is great, Kakebeka falls and that area are fantstic. The city itself is not great. I used to live there and hated every minute of it.

However, I probably shouldn't have singled out Thunder Bay as one of the worst, as there are lots of other cities lacking.

Favorite city to LIVE in - Montreal, of course, and no, I'm not biased at all. I'm not originally from here; I chose to settle in Montreal because it's very multicultural, it's very laidback eventhough it's a pretty big city, it has amazing festivals especially in the summer, and the nightlife is awesome!!

However, my favorite city to VISIT is Banff. I think that Banff and Jasper are the most beautiful regions in the WORLD, not just Canada. I prefer the city of Banff a little more than Jasper because it's slightly bigger and therefore a little more to do in town if the weather is too crap for outdoor sports.

Montreal.

Not a very original answer, but here's an original reason:

Because whereas so many other cities are trying to be something, Montreal is just exactly what it is. And that's pretty amazing.

I knew my hometown was going to be put up as the worst...still kinda breaks your heart. But I have to say that White River ontario still is worse. Damn blackflies

TOOOOOOOOOOOOORONTO........ why does noone say that

yeah, but White River is just a small town...I thought we were talking cities.

If we get to include small towns, then the handsdown winner of the worst town in Canada is Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories.

My fave: Montreal, Quebec City

Overrated: Vancouver, Toronto

Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump, Alberta is a cool place, isn't it?

To Matt44 - EVERYONE knows that TORONTO is the BEST. I think that is just a known and agreed to fact that goes without saying. I think the question really is interpreted as: "After Toronto, what is the Favourite City/Town in Canada."

Okay, all you people from out West, I'm just teasing. Ontario is NOT the end-all and be-all and it is not the centre of Canada (even though it is) ;)
