Hey,
well thanks EVERYONE for there replys...you did answer my questions....but it took a while for me to understand what everyone was talking about!!

Its more than obvious that i haven't been here long seeing as i have no idea what this "poking the bear" thinger is!

and whats with the vodka bottle?... lil confused there!
anyways...Thanks so much!

~Kim

Stick around Kim, and you'll soon find out we rarely know what we are talking about. This is Off Topic, where everyone is a little "off" and so are most of the threads (serious ones excluded). It's also very addicting... (Oops, did I say that?)

Poking the bear...
Doing or saying something to get a reaction, annoying someone, or just a generally unwise move (good or bad). A man is walking in the woods (or enters a cave - depending on who's telling the story) and comes across a bear just laying there. Unsure if the bear is dead or alive, the man takes a stick and starts "poking the bear" while yelling, "Hey bear! Are you asleep?" You can draw your own conclusions to the fate of the man...

VODKA!!!
Over time, vodka, martinis, cocktails (in general) and chocolate have taken on important roles in Off Topic threads. Many of us are known for our fondness for vodka martinis, with a few gin drinkers thrown in for good measure. There is always a virtual bottle of vodka being written about somewhere in this forum. The same holds true of chocolate (in case you have missed the ever-ongoing chocolate wars and recently posted chocolate threads).

Hope that has cleared up some of the confusion... If not, no worries - it will all become clear over time. THAT's when you should start worrying... ;)

You've given away more than 90 invites!? Are you sure all are from TP?

Invitations sent:

CupCake - 90
Isadora - 18
Hien - 12
Gelli - ?

Look at the number of members we've managed to get. I wonder if they can be considered as our referrals. ;) *wink wink, nudge nudge*
