I'm staying with friends I met out there for a bit but dont want to put them out and stay too long, does anyone know if there are any short term let accommodation available in Sydney. I know there's hostels etc but kinda thinkin of a small studio flat etc, possibly around the Coogee Bay area??

Any advive will be helpfull

The answer is yes. Finding them is as easy as going to the area and checking local noticeboards in backpackers hostels and on shop windows. Saturdays paper is also full of them. Its just a matter of knowing where to look when you get here. You could have a look at www.domain.com.au.

Thanks majito.....

Are these available though for 2 - 3 month let at a time and do you have any rough idea how much they cost??

Questions, questions, questions.....sorry!!!!

I'm not sure how many small studio flats there's be around Coogee beach; there'd be some for sure but the vast majority of flats would be 1 and 2 bedders.

For something without a beach view, I'd say about $200 - $220 per week for a 1 bedder.

There are plenty of studios around the Kings Cross/Potts Point area.

They are not too close to Coogee. Basically, Kings Cross and Potts Point are on the eastern side of the CBD; between the CBD and Bondi, but closer to the CBD.

I think I can help you.

If you are looking to stay in Coogee I know of a home where you can stay with other travellers. Not a hostel, but a family home. It is a female only accomodation (except for the owner who is my best mate's old man, and he is rarely there anyway). Right at this moment there are 4 people staying there (2 australian girls, a girl from Netherlands and a girl from Germany).

I can give you some more info on this accomodation if you want to PM me.

Coogee is about 15 minutes from Kings Cross and the CBD btw (maybe 40 minutes in a bus though)

Hi Eva.

I just found out from his son yesterday that he has no more rooms vacant. I will let you know when any of the rooms become available.

I'm not sure on the price. I will be calling his son again today and will ask him what the price is per room.
