This thread is marked as being about Malaysia

I will be going to Malaysia next month and was wondering where is the most convenient and cheap place to stay at? i want it near the petrona towers, jalan alor (since i heard theres a lot of food there) and of course the KLCC. I was also wondering if the hostels are safe to stay?
Please give me some suggestions. Thank you =)

i stayed in the Radius International first and then (because we had spent all our money in Thailand and Borneo!) in pondok lodge onthe way back (20-1B Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang ). It is loacted within walking/tram from EVERYTHING. We loved the place, had free brekkie and saved more money for shopping in the amazing shopping centre up the road! Lovely restaurants to splash out on around it too!

Try the hostels and backpackers around the Puduraya bus station. About RM28 a night. Bukit Bintang/Jalan Alor are double the price, and only a 10min walk from puduraya. Taxis r cheap, but always ask for a meter. the taxi ride from Pudu - bukit bintang should not cost more than RM5-7. Don't let them rip you off. the food all around Bukit bintang, Jalan Alor and Jalan Ipoh is all good. Malaysia was my home for the last 3years, any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Petronas twin towers and KLCC are kind of the same building.
