Oooohhhhh - a chocolate thread!!!!!! You have just given Lance the perfect venue for a threadjacking... Just thought you should be aware....

Any chocolate is good chocolate, but I like my own homemade truffles. I use Ghirardelli bittersweet "baking" chocolate, add a touch of cream and any flavoring that suits my fancy at the time. My favorite flavors are orange curacao and black cherry. Yum!!!!! I'm going to replace the cream with Bailey's (Irish Cream) for the next batch. It might work, it might not - but the tast testing will be worth it anyway! :)

Judging by your decision to announce that you're making your own chocolate I assume that you're security system is now up and running! If not, you might be in for a surprise, finding Cuppy sitting on your kitchen floor with chocolate smeared all over her face.
You've been warned!!!

Trust me, I check under the guest room bed every morning for crumpled chocolate wrappers... I know she could bypass the "security system" and sneak in at any time. Besides, the "security system" loved both of you, making it totally ineffective. Well, Harry would probably announce that CC had arrived - by howling outside the guest room door... (MEOW!!!!!!!!!!)

(ps: the "kids" say hello!)

Yeah, I remember that howl... 'Meeeooowwww' followed by 'SHUT UP, HARRY!!!'

You call that security system? Most of them go hiding when somebody arrives or are easily won over by stroking their belly?

Now, Geese on the other hand, that's a reliable security system. Much more effective than dogs and less prone to causing accidents...

Thank you for that image...it will be in my mind all day now...a stupified Cuppy, sprawled on my kitchen floor, speaking in tongues, madly clutching a half empty bottle of Godiva Liqueur...cats warily circling her shivering body.....

I've not had Fortnum and Mason trufffles, but I do love their teas.
