I just got back after 2 weeks in Brittany and Normandy!
What a beautiful and amazing part of the world. Iv been all the continet and this is one of the nicest regions iv been too.
The medieval cities of Rennes and Dinan and the coastline around ST Malo are stunning. St Michel and the castle at Figueres is a must see as well.
Bayeux, I think is a crap town compared to the cities in Brittany but is host to the Bayuex tapestry...Billy the Conquerers invasion of England.
And ofcourse the DDAY landings and the Ami Cemetery was the best part of it all.
I think its somethin everyone should see, especially those so eager to fight wars. As an American, it was a great thing to meet so many other Americans at the beaches and talk to them about their thoughts on it. For the first time in 6 years I felt proud to be American again.
Jeff would like to thank all those who made this trip possible:
Big Up to Aurellie and her wee car for driving me around the byways of Brittany and teaching me some French along the way!
Special Thanks to Jerone, getting up at 7AM to visit 4 beaches in 1 day!
Tarik, for his time spent seeing Paris as a Parisian.
And to all those who posted on this forum, thanks for the help!
