I've got to go to the american embassy to get a visa for the camp america programme. I was just wondering how strict are they about the ste of your passport becasue the info I had said if it was 'old or worn' you'd have to get a new one and go back again!!
My passport isn't torn or anything but it is a bit creased, I'm a bit worried now!

Hmmm Places are sometimes quite strict about the state of passports....but obviously if your interested in travelling your passport isnt going to be in pristine condition. As Long as the last page with your picture and details on isnt affected in any way ie: not water damaged, or peeling off and all the information is readable!!!So I wouldnt worry!!!!

A well-traveled passport shouldn't cause you any problems here. As long as it's not falling apart, as Twinkle said, nor looks as though it has been tampered with, you should have no problems. If yours is machine readable, the bar code should be visible and intact - same for your ID portion (photo, etc.). Things like torn or missing pages will be a cause for problems. But, looking well-used, rather than tattered, you should be okay with it.

Thanks for your replies. I hope it will be ok, if not I guess I'll just have to pay for a new passport :(
At least I'll get a new photo though my current ones awful haha;)
