hi tarun, for beaches, if u r going over to M'sia, there r a few islands in Johor, which is the "neighbour" to S'pore.

S'pore is famous for shopping, maybe u can go to Chinatown, Orchard Road and Clarke Quay for a boat ride.

for accomodation, what's ur budget like?

Its really easy to hop on a bus and go over the border to Johur, l recommend eating at Clarke Quay, wander around Little India & Chinatown; visit the zoo and the night safari, stop off at Raffles wander around the Colonial Building and if you fancy sip on a Singapore Sling (though be warned it is expensive!, take the cable car up to Mount Faber and down to Sentosa Island where you can spend a day - although l wouldnt necessarily call it a beautiful island cos the coast line is populated with tankers! Stop off and see Jumbo the pink Dolphin!

I cant really comment on hotels as you dont want to spend a lot - we stayed in the 5 Star Conrad by the Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City.

Enjoy Singapore l certainly did!

If you go to sentosa go to the aquarium - they have sea dragons and other really unusual things like dugongs. Wandering around chinatown is fun and good cheap food.

Dear,

I agree with kucira,u shall visit Malaysia. most of the things are cheaper than in Singapore. Endau Rompin is on of the protected rain forest in Malaysia. u will c nice water fall and it is a good place for hiking.

talk about pulau, malaysia has lot of beutiful island. west malaysia itself u can go the Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian or Pulau Lang Tengah (smaller island).

Talk about food, you can go to Penang, Melaka or Ipoh!

Melaka is a good place to go.

consider it...

Hi Tarun!

You can give little india hotels a try. Fortuna & Claremont are quite inexpensive and very well located. They are right infront of Mustafa shopping centre and very close to indian restaurants. Farrer Park station is a short walk so that you can easily access all the attractions mentioned above, though a stroll on Orchard Road, China town & Little India, Zoo, night safari, Zurong bird park, sentosa underwater world and a boat cruise at Boat Quay should top the list.

Nagendra

Definately Raffles, Newton Circus for great food, chinatown indoor market and upstairs food hall, the metro for easy travelling and of course orchard road for the shopa and malls, do they still have the shark in the tank in the malls there? stokesy
