Most Fridays are reserved for a friend who's extremely pregnant and raising an 18-month old. She can barely even leave the house, so we usually go over, order pizza, watch a movie, talk, and catch up. When the talk gets too pregnancy-heavy (another of my friends is also expecting), I happily play "Where's Elmo?" with the toddler. No feeling in the world like a kid who looks up at you and wants to be picked up!
So - either find yourself some pregnant friends, or else stick to board games. I love Balderdash and Scattegories myself!
We sit in front of the telly, crack open a bottle of wine and zonk out after a hard weeks work - or if either of us has been travelling that week (which is most weeks) its a catch up! This week lm going up to a friends house and on Sat getting a hair cut and on Sunday lve got a work thing - healthly living walk!! Oh and l have to catch up on house work (really gotta do that one soon!) But mostly Fri nites involve food, wine and telly - GOD when l put down in writing we are SO boring!
I tend to have a pretty low key friday night as I like to reserve myself for a big saturday night out involving a lot of alcohol, decent music and creating a hangover!!!Usually dedicate friday nights to my boyfriend and just unwind over a dinner and a bit of wine after a busy week!
I work...Its cool because I love my job, at the music box in Manchester at the moment (if you've heard of him its Mr Scruff's residence), the music is always different and new which i love and the people are sound, who can argue with being paid to have a good time rather than be out spending it?? (hear the student in me talking now)
Although I do hate having to work when my mates are sometimes having a big night...
It really depends... I don't usually do the same thing every friday... Normally friday night is not the big night, since I have been getting up early all week long, and my bodies cries for a quiet night in... But... that doesn't happen every friday (thanks!!!), so what I do is basically
- go out & have few drinks (Madrid is great for these, you can go to a different neighbourhood every week and don't reapeat the same one in a month or two!)
- go to concerts
- theatre plays
- have something to eat
- being invited over a friend's house
- going to sleep cause on saturday morning I go hiking...
the usual... I realise now that doing all these things makes me spend all the money I don't have then to travel...
Tonight, I'm supposed to be doing another application for a job I don't want. Well there's nowt on TV.
Feeling depressed cos I'm stuck at my parents until I find a job, meanwhile all my friends are on the other side of the country - or the other side of the world!
I'll spend next weekend there though - Sheffield that is, not Australia.....That would be a mad weekend!
i usually go out of town on friday nights. but tonight i am going to hang out with a bunch of friends at a bar and then we let the night take us where ever it seems the most interesting. saturday is catch up day and i am recovering from hangover or lack of sleep and sunday is my day to relax and clean up, laundery, and grocery shopping.
Tonight i've just got back from a business trip, so knsckered and won't be doing squat.
Usually it is take it easy and get ready for the weekend
dance....drink vodka....dance some more.....drink some more vodka....and repeat....
