Thursday nights always used to be good fun. Nobody cares how rough they feel on a Friday, cos nothing gets done!

While most people are partying all night and boozing their hearts out. While most people are spending all their energy and money with fancy pleasures, me, i wish them all good luck.
i spend my friday night feeling the cool breeze at the park. after doing some leisure running for 30 minutes, i just love to strech my arms and feel the winds passing through my body. Sigh, life is so beautiful.
Having to meet beautiful strangers and sharing interest with anything that doesn't really matter.
that for me isn't bad in passing a one friday night out..

Well being Irish I have duty to be in the pub on a Friday night!
I don't know if anyone else has this situation but I didn't really keep in touch with many people from school but sparked up great random frienships with people at part time jobs back then, work or just plain strangers! Trouble is now I have so many friends spread out that I don't have the usual "crew" to hang with on a Friday night(aw poor me!!)hehe, but seriously can be annoying sometimes.

ahh poor you !! i'm in the same situation, the usual crew have all split, reformed, changed etc...... met up with a few on friday just past and it was a good drunken night but still reminded why we had all gone our seperate ways..... but yes friday means going down the local, these days with whoevers finished work at the same time.....a good night normally turns into a pub crawl......

Don't worry - you're not alone! I don't go for the get-too-drunk, stay-out-till-the-morning Friday night outings - although I think it's because most of my friends own their own homes now, so we always have a place to hang out. Then again, I'm a morning person - so I can't stay awake much past 1...

Thats why I love being away, gives you so much more opportunity to meet interesting people. I feel these days that people aren't interested in finding new friendships, I love to meet new people! I see my brother going out with his huge gang of friends and always people calling him up but hey I guess we are all different!

Thank you for the replies..;)
i'm so happy to have found this place-TP, where i think i could meet people and get to share my true interests with them. A community where honesty, excitement, curiosity, and fun blend so well . :)
I look forward to a friday evening where i would be out partying, boozing and dancing all night till the sun shines the next day. I have no qualms to be subtly wild just like what every one else does. The problem is, my situation is very limited -- i don't get to interact with people on the same wavelength. The people around me, mostly office mates seem to be contented with their own comfort zone. The way i see it, they seem to run a life of security and safety. Where is excitement there? Maybe they're fine with that. i just can't seem to imagine a life of seclusion --- patterned, predictable, 'safe.'
I don't know, maybe they're happy, maybe it's just me who doesn't know how to live a sensible life....
Regards to everyone.

Well over summer/autumn, we try to go out for dinner most Fridays, if not, we do it on Saturday - as a reward for the repeative week days. My wife is early to bed & very early to rise with her work so by Friday it's 'let'a go out somewhere' - 'lets do something' sort of time.

So after our 1/2 to 1 hr walk - that we do most evenings. We quite often go out for dinner and maybe take in a movie at the cinema.

But as late autumn/winter approaches, and our 'Footy' season starts, the dinner etc. gets pushed to Saturday. We get take away (maybe pizza or fish & chips) settle down by the fire with some wine & nibblies watching gods own game.
