In due to leave for Oz in june for a year.

I have a working visa, and will have to work, cant afford to live for a year without earning.

Have any fellow board members completed a year, if you have, can I be nosey and ask how much you took with you?

Im starting to panic that I dont have enough saved

Think I will have in the region of £3000.

i am in the same boat as you allmost but i havent got my working visa yet, though when i go i will have less than you (im thinking £2000) as long as you dont go crazy with your money and work hard when your there i dont see a problem. obviously the more you have though the more you can do.
could you tell me how long it took from start to finish for your visa to come through please

3000 pounds is a shit load of money in Australia, compared to the uk it is an extremely cheap country for things like food and even petrol. Depending on how you travel this will last you a long time. Keep in mind that australians are very lazy people - so as long as you aren't fussy about the kind of job that you do work is really easy to come by. happy travels
