noted that quite a few messages asking for help on the places of interest for XXX city/country.
Can i suggest that we have a destination guide that is similar to the photo page so people can just click on say paris and there will be a list of "must see" for paris and similarly for any destination in the world.
So unless a reader is interested to go to somewhere that is unique, he/she can just go to the "FAQ" page to check out the places to go.
Think this is helpful for those people who are going to a destination for the first time and needs some overview.
The problem I personally always have with faq pages is that everyone is unique. I've given probably a hundred recommendations on this forum for where to go to when in New Zealand, but although the main points in each were the same, none of those recommendations were completely identical to the others. There's always some unique circumstance, some expressed preference, some variation in time schedule, something asked or replied that sparks me to say, "or you know what I think you personally would really like...?"
Everyone has different must sees.
So, yes, more detailed destination guides would be nice - but I think it'd have to be done in a pretty careful manner, so as to not give rise to standard "see the faq" answers whenever someone new asks for information.
i agree. The ones i found at "virtual tourist" is pretty good in my opinion. It had the standard ones plus those out of the ordinary ones based on the member's preference. But at least, if you are going london, you will see tower of london, bristish museum, london eye etc.
Maybe not the right place to answer but earlier I searched for "travel help" . It'd be cool if all countries,cities,places,...are typed in bold, so you find easier and faster who can help u for a specific country. After u pick a few out, u can ask them the "hot places to go or to visit". And so u make you're own overview before you go visit.
