Mornings aren't good for me and I'm generally busy late afternoon, and you know, everyone needs a lunch hour, so by my reckoning I'm free to join the revolution between 3:15 and 3:25

General Mdog's Federation of independant travellers United football club society-society of autonomous peoples update/log.
time:1647 GMT
Defcon;3

All vital plans are in place for the assault of the world of travellers enemys, my flight has been booked after a long and annoying process involving a load of idiot callcentres. they tried to slow us down, to defeat us, to demoralise us, but it has simply served to fuel the raging inferno that is our will to take over the world and impose our nomadic-visa-free-global-economy-system-fantastic.
we have enough travellingcrusaderfighterwarriorstormtroopers assisted by our team of medicaltentmanningtroops and also our home guard of observervingtheconvobutnotcommenting, and i am confident that a three pronged attack should be more than enough to lead us to victory and glory! and less hassle travelling!

okay ill take out HSBC, you guys form a V formation and flank the global bank, overpower the security guard using your passports as a kind of slapping bat and perhaps handluggage as a heavy club, and the rest of the guys go for the airports using their tightly rolled sleeper mats as batons.

report back to me when weve acheived our goal, ill sort the ultimate free of charge super visas and well have tea and cake in the garden at my house.

ps i need to appoint a second in command because being a general is tiring. open to sugestions, preference to people who have been to bratislava and come back alive. second prize goes to those who come back nearly alive.

Oh l reckon Isa would be a great second in command although l dont know if she has been and gone and come back alive or half alive from Bratislava!

BTW - lm a dab hand in the kitchen so l could also cater for our comrades on the battlefield whilst applying the bandaids.

Oh yes - what sort of cake is it??? Im dieting at the moment you know - although maybe l would make an exception for some goey chocolate cake............

VISIT THREAD:
GENERAL TALK/TRAVELLERS UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
ps:boss people feel free to move it to off topic sorry i forgot to put it in there and put it in general travel instead.

I am back, alive and kicking from Bratislava! There is NO good news to report... But, since it is Sunday - I will wait to make a full written assessment of the situation until Monday. (Since that's when everyone else can join in...) I do suggest that we call in Beerman's ChestWig Reinforcements to help with the revolt.

Will there be elections for Second In Command? I'm available most days from 5:30 - 3:45 GMT -6 hrs. Okay - that's central standard time for those who live where I do - the US. Thursdays are no good - that's "townie day" and I'm just not around. Let me know the course... ;)

Isa leaves to check football thread and see if it needs to be moved to Off Topic.

Comrades what news from yonder battle field?

17. Posted by Isadora (Travel Guru 13926 posts) 10y

Oh, I forgot to report in on Monday.. Sorry!! But, I think Major Mdog is still in the garden having tea and cake... (That, and his problem has been resolved so the revolt has been put on hold.)

Bratislava was cold and I don't like cold. Let's hold the revolt someplace warm, sunny and with ocean breezes...

Oh goodie - we can have post revolt confabe and cocktails on the vernade afterwards - sod the back garden and cake!!

GENERALS UPDATE MISSION CONTROL
of
the peoples republic of the visa free new age modern yet old in a way gang and or motley crew of travelling autonomous collective world united society society.
Stardate 13.51
place:my house
DEFCON-2

apologies soldiers; communication was down following an assault on my command bunker by my little sister insisting to use some sort of infedel communication network called msn to chat with her little girly mates. and then i had to start off the travellers united footbal team and then get into the poem contestathlon championship competition (both in off topic, go check it) and then i went to watch jack johnson in plymouth and then had to meet him afterwards for a chat about surfing and told him he should come and visit the island i live on and that i liked his set. and then just as he thought i was a nice well wisher we took lots of photos and got him to sign everything.
BUT FEAR NOT!
the first stages of our operation are complete, and before long we will be victorious. although worldwide media has not reported it (because our super sub secret shock troopers have taken control of them) and even though the majority of the public does not know (it would cause widespread panic and all sorts of other confusion if they knew) we are near to victory
i have one more delicate mission to accomplish, and in the name of honour, i must go alone. all i need is an adjustable spanner, three belgian sausages, a straw and some stickyback plastic. if you have said items necessary for our collective benefit, please let me know.

over and out, General Mart IV

Wait, wait - we have to colur-coordinate our uniforms first. I think Isa and Beerman's bright shirts are clashing with my black flack jacket. It's a recipe for disaster...
