Im going to Prague on Wed and was wondering can anyone give me advise on where is a good area to stay in Prague. What area is most central and if possible something interesting to see and do there. Perhaps the name of a hotel?
Any advise would be most welcome.
Do you want a hotel or a hostel?
A Decent, Central hotel if possible.
Im only there for 2 nights with my G/f so it would be no harm to push the boat a little
I have a few suggestions based on how much you want to pay or location.
Outside the city center is Pension Vetnik (2,000+ Kc) its about 30 min tram ride out of the center but its cheaper.
Betlem Club (3,600+ Kc) Old Town
Hotel Cloister Inn (4,200+ Kc) Old Town
I stayed here about a month ago.
Restaurant was absolutely first class. Pretty central too. There was 13 of us so we got 3 apartments and they were very spacious. I am sure the double rooms will be equally as good.
2 mins walk from underground line and not far from the centre if you want to walk.
have booked a hotel.
Any suggestions on wonderful or whackey sights I should not miss?
The ice hockey is well worth a visit.
Couple of quid o get in £2 - £9 max.
Slavia Praha are a great team and the playoffs are almost upon them. Best sports stadium I have ever been in. Beer brought to you at you seat for under a quid too.
Just wonder around the city, there are many many sites. I have only been there on the booze cruise but it seemed a lovely city. Head to the Charles brigde and Wenceslas Square.
Keep you cash safe but if you are there with your g/f and not steaming you will be ok.
Cheers Tricky. Might try and get in game alright.
