7 nights in London

Travel Forums Europe 7 nights in London

I will be traveling to London in July of this year for my honeymoon and although I have been before I was very young.

I am going to be spending 7 night there. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some “must see’s” (day and night life) as well as other places (within England) or countries that would make an easy day trip from London.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hallo

The must do's in London are numerous, those which immediately come to mind include the Eye (good at night as well), one of the many art galleries/museums, Covent Garden, Tower of London, Tower Bridge and a trip on the Thames down to Greenwich. I suggest you go on an open top bus to get a feeling of the city, and perhaps visit one of the parks for an afternoon. For nighttime, definitely take in a show and perhaps see what is on at The Opera House or Royal Albert hall.

if you are there for 7 nights, then i suggest you also explore one of the cities outside of London, see a bit of England . . within easy reach are Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Winchester and Canterbury. You could even get across to the isle of Wight for the day.

As for other countries to visit . . .most of Eurpe is within easy reach by rail or plane, but I would enjoy your 7 days in London, part of Southjern England and perhaps if you really want to get out fly up to edinburgh or Glasgow for a day or two.

Hope you have fun and have a wondefrul wedding.

Becky

Hi,
I would suggest taking one of the many London sightseeing buses. You can hop on and off whenever you wish.

Also only half an hour from Central London, go to kew Gardens and also Richmond is lovely. Very pretty and great views from the top of Richmond Hill. You could also get the boat from Richmond to Hampton Court which takes about 40 mins. Great on a sunny day.

If you want to see some countryside and the sea. Try Cornwall or Devon.
:)
Hope thats a little useful.
Let me know if you need any more help. I work in the travel business in London.
