Hey

My 22 year old sister is heading out for a 2 week holiday in April and I want to take her from Brisbane down to Byron Bay for a couple of nights? Can anyone recommend a nice Backpackers with a paryt atmosphere that we should stay at?

Also does anyone have any suggestions as to what we should see heading from Byron back to Sydney?

Thanks

In Byron you don't have to stay at a particular hostel with party atmosphere as the whole town is a big party at night . Anyway, I stayed at Aquarius backpackers which was clean (apparently much cleaner than others) and the staff was friendly and helpful. Friends of mine recommended Arts factory as a relaxed "hippie hostel" with free movies but a little further out of town. If I was you I would just make sure I'd book well in advance. Some people had to stay on the beach their first night .
After Byron I had enough the east coast and went back to Sydney via Hunter Valley. They have some very yummy wine tastings around there.

Hth,

Steff

I would have to agree with steff, Aquarious is a great place to stay its clean and friendly and has a pool table what more can you ask for, but better than that its close to the town vrey close and really close to the beaches. Avoid the YHA next door it is clean but they have way to many rules and it can be boring as hell.

There are a few hostels in byron but I would always choose aquarious. Stayed there for 3 months in total, god I love Byron.

I personally stayed in holiday inn and stayed in one of the apartments...they rock...and its only $3 more then a dorm, well worth it tho...when i go back i'll be staying there again! and cheeky monkeys is right opposite.

The do offer a lot as well! Worth looking into.
