I have been playing around with my travel photos for a while, got rid of loads by weeding out the rubbish, photoshopped out my shiny forehead and redeyes....But there are still 850 of them!!!
I want to print them all, cos I like having them in front of me not on computer. Does anyone know where is a good cheap place in the UK to get large numbers of photo printed from CDs?
And roughly what i expect to pay for 850?
Any ideas would be v welcome
Can't speak for the UK, but the best deals I found in Canada are on-line. There are a number of companies that will print your photos. The cheapest I have seen is $0.19 Canadian (I'll let you figure out the exchange rate). I am sure there must be similar companies in the UK.
Try googling UK Photo labs or something like that.
I made tons of pics when I lived in England and had them all printed at Jessops. They are fairly cheap and offer good quality. If you prefer slide shows to photo albums you can also ask for a Kodak Photo CD. The pictures are 1024 pixels high by 1536 pixels wide and stored in JPG-format. Make sure you optimise your photos, i.e. put them in the correct orientation, dimension, colour profile, etc., before you have Jessops put them onto CD-ROM! They also offer high-quality picture disks (in PCD-format), but these are rather expensive.
Im just back from tescos and they charge 5p a print if you are printing over 150 (if you want the larger size its 10p)
