Just wondering if it would be possible to add an extra option to the report spam option, so that it will report ALL of their posts as spam.

I ask because many sign up and spam 3 or 4 forums (i've just reported 4 of somebodies), and its a bit tedious going back to the thread, then to their profile, to the next one and report that as well. Especially on dial up in an internet cafe...

To work (so an established user doesn't have all of their legit posts reported by accident), it should probably be confined to new users - is there a way for a "report all of the users posts as spam" option to be valid, for example, within the first 48/72 hours after a member joins??

Or something similar?

That's a fair idea. Though I suppose it does increase the risk of abuse slightly. Bear in mind that when I'm deleting threads, I usually check the user's profile and check some/all of their other entries as well. So even if only one is flagged, we'd usually pick up on the rest. Though of course this means their posts are still in public view in the meanwhile.

Actually, sometimes I wish I had a delete button to remove all of a user's entries :) Must make myself one of those! hehe.

I also like the idea, but - like Peter, I do check the profiles of the poster to get a feel for who they are and what else they have posted. Granted, with spammers, they usually post the same thing, with the same title, in every forum. So, it is a pain going from forum to forum, flagging each thread.

I think you may need more then a one-person test to see how well that works!!! I volunteer to push the button - just to make sure it's working properly... (We could use Hien as the test subject. He was Sam's lab rat the other day so he's used to being abused.)

Yeah, that's doable. It doesn't cost much. Just an ipod (or more, if you insist). I don't mind losing my two years worth of posts.
