Looking for some help here.
Have a friend who is meant to be flying out to Japan next week, but for various reasons she cant go. She has bought a 1 way ticket which isnt transferable, is there any way that she can get some of her money back? I was thinking that perhaps she could sell it and pay a fee ro get the name changed.
If any one has any ideas about how to recoup some money it would be most appreciated.
Usually you can "cancel" the ticket, and you will have a credit with the airline that you can use at a later time - usually up to a year away. That would be the easiest option in the event that she needs to fly from Japan at some point (or if it's an international airline that she can use).
There are two options that i could suggest assuming that it's an international ticket:
1) Change the date of journey to some other date (if you are planning to travel after a month or two)
2)Just cancel the ticket and ask for the refund..you may lose some money for documentation.
