Sorry to dig up this thread from 5 years ago.
However I was wondering what the process is once a person has asked the admins if they can post something along these lines and its been approved. As in, do you notify the mods for that forum - although I know this doesn't happen often, but if the mods aren't told something has been approved then the thread could be easily deleted.
Hi Rob - the process is: if the person has been given approval by Admin. to post something, then said approval is to be mentioned in the thread. If the poster does not state permission has been granted, then consider it worthy of deletion.
I've only run into 1-2 cases where the comment about approval has not been mentioned and I've accidentally deleted the thread. Things have always been rectified by the poster or Admin. Approved members are usually quite good at making sure they explain they've been granted permission.
If I'm really unsure about a thread, I will flag it and contact Admin., asking if they approved it or not. So far, the answers has always been a no.
ps: sorry for the delayed reply.
That's what I thought the process is... but that doesn't stop someone saying it has been approved when it hasn't been.
It's the chance we take. If you're unsure, flag it and check with Admin. A majority of the time, Admin will also comment in the thread that they have given permission. If they haven't, it will be deleted.
