Great to see a forum for people with a similar interest. Or obsession in my case.
I started taking lots of day trips around the Central Coast of California about four years ago. Armed with a new digital camera, I started posting my photographs on my -snip-
I bought an RV a year and a half ago and began a 15,000 mile journey around the US, starting out seeing more of California, including last years dynamite Death Valley. I've traveled across the US three times, and I'm now exploring North Carolina.
I try to get up at least 20 - 30 photographs of each place I've visited and at least one 360 degree VR.
I look forward to swapping notes and equipment advice with people, and learning as much as I can about photography. I'm especially interested in how people use neutral density filters.
All told I've been through 40 some states and eight countries. These days I'm armed with a Nikon D-70, but still miss my D-100.
[ Edit: sorry, no promos in the forum please. ]
Welcome to the site. Sounds like you've been around a bit
While I'm sure you meant well, website promos are against our forum rules, so I've had to remove the links you included.
I saw that after I posted. I can understand that for posts for viagra of poker, but what a silly rule for related posts.
I won't be back.
Define 'related'. If someone decides to promote their travel insurance website or tour company, this can also be 'related'. But we would soon be swamped with irritating posts from people only seeking to promote their own sites (we clean up dozens of these every week).
We also tend to be more lenient on members who have been around for longer than a day. It's hard knowing their motivation otherwise. Also, it's worth pointing out that we have a links directory which is set up for this purpose. And if you want to share your photos with travellers on here, we have a photo upload system all set for you to use.
Anyway, if it's not your cup of tea, so be it - I know most people appreciate the strict rules
