Me and 2 others are planning to travel to Cuzco from Buenos Aires. We do not have to rush to get there and would like to see different interesting cities along the way. We have plans to maybe go to Iguazu first then head out to Salta where we are thinking of taking the Tren a las Nubes. We do not have much planned after that and are not really set on the little plans we have. We want to head into Bolivia then through Peru to Cuzcuo. We would also be interested in riding in a 4x4, but are not sure in what cities to do that in. If you can give ANY help/advice/or suggestions we would GREATLY appreciate it. We are planning to travel in April of this year (in about a month).
Thanks ahead of time,
p.s. Puedo hablar espaNol.
Salta has a representative house in Buenos Aires at Avenida Presidente Roque Sáenz Peña 933 5º piso Tel. 4326-2456/7 where you can ask more info and 4x4 tours, and check when the "tren a las nubes" run ... tours to Cafayate (wines area), and more...
Also be sure to spend a few day in Jujuy ...
I recommend staying in Buenos Aires for a long time. There is a lot to visit. Enjoy http://www.travel-buenosaires.com.ar.
After that, there is Cordoba http://www.visitingargentina.com/esp/cordoba/cordoba.php
Also Mendoza, http://www.visitingargentina.com/esp/mendoza/mendoza.php
which is very close to Chile. All information about Chile in http://www.visitingchile.com.
And if you want more...http://www.visitinglatinamerica.com
Also, I don´t know if "Tren de las nubes" is available.
