Bangers n' Mash. I tried to make it the other day with ingredients found in an American grocery store; failed miserably.

Indian food. Yes, we have it in the U.S. but not anywhere near where I live.

Oddly enough, Vegemite. What can I say, it grew on me.

I'd say mate from Argentina, but I found a website where you can order it from down there. I kind of feel like a tool drinking it here, but damn it, I love the stuff and I've been trying to cut down on coffee.

I miss lots. First, when I go away, the first thing I miss from home is the India House. It is the only East Indian food place in town here.

Now that I am home, I miss Tim Tam's (from Australia) to eat with my coffee.

I miss Fish and Chips shops from Scotland, New Zealand, and Australia; the real shops where they wrap your food in news paper.

I miss the people, the beaches, and the life-style.

I miss waking up every morning in a new bed or forgetting that I stayed in the same one...and sometimes having no idea where I am when I first get up.

The love affairs.

The hikes, the different country sides...the Train rides.

The freedom, the choice, the on-going revolution, and being part of it. (It's a long one now...been going for decades, but it can't last forever).

And so much more.

Cheers

I miss meat and veg with flavour.
Open roads - no traffic jams.
the mountains, rivers, and lakes being close by.

Peace of mind, warm ocean breezes, palapas to sit under, and the beach bar.

Didn't think of things I missed whilst being abroad. Probably a good cup of tea & yeah a sunday roast.

Apart from the food, which is obvious and seeems to be the one thing everyone misses!

I always miss what I call "The Dorothy Feeling" you get from being somewhere completly new and foreign...as in "I don't think we're in Kansas/Yorkshire anymore Toto..." I love that feeling!:

Buddhist monks walking about in saffron robes...

Those cheap white plastic water bottles in SE ASia that you can't open without getting soaked and the lid never goes back on....

Sunshiney Tunes. I heard Jack Johnson on the radio the other day while I was driving through grey and rain, it just doesn't fit....

The feeling that all you need is there in one bag. It is the ULTIMATE FREEDOM!!!

What I miss most about traveling is being outdoors at night, sitting on the beach or in the mountains, looking up and marveling at the beautiful night sky full of stars... I live in a big city (Montreal), so I'm lucky if I see 3 stars at night, and no beach (not natural ones anyway), no mountain (what we call a mountain here is more like a hill). BUT damn it I love Montreal and no matter how much I enjoy travelling, it's always nice to come back!

HOW?!! It's just sausages and mashed potato!

At home I miss the amazing variety of squeezed-in-front-of-you fresh fruit juices you get in brazil, especially the lime ones!
also the steak in argentina,
the proper cold beer in australia
and for the life of me i cannot find a hot man who isn't attached, gay or arrogant.
