Deffo go to Universal Studio's. I went 5 weeks ago and had a great day.
I think we paid $45.00 each to get in but that is all you pay for (except food which is quite cheap).
There are loads of rides, filming of Fear Factor that you can watch, and a tour of loads of film and TV sets (Back to the Future, War of the Worlds, Desperate Housewives, Jurassic Park, Jaws and loads more)! And random shows going on all day.

Have Fun

$45 may seem expensive but Universal Studios is worth every dollar. Get there early. It has a lot to offer.

I've never been to Universal (we opted for Disney instead), but it's reputed to be the 'adult' version of Disney. They have the scary rides and stuff. I remember seeing ads for an elevator ride that drops you x many floors. Dang, I wish I'd gone!

Not that you should skip Disney, though - it's a wonderful fantasy land, if a bit on the slow side when it comes to rides. Every, single corner is decorated - it's like living in a cartoon.

I just realized you're talking about LA - I meant the one in Florida. Don't know if they're the same thing...

The ones in California and Florida are almost exactly the same. There are only 1 or two rides that are different.

Also, California has the "backlot tour", which I don't know if they have in Florida (I presume they do).

I don't remember what we paid when I went there back in 99, but seeing as I was a student back then I must have figured it to be worth the money :) I do remember having a great day out there, but be early and make the most of it. Another great day out was Six Flags. Ah, the memories...
