We are arriving on Princess cruise on May 27, 2006 and are trying to figure out the best way to get to our hotel in London. Appreciate all the info on the trains but what is the procedure and cost for taking the bus? Can you give me any websites to refer to? Thanks.

Hi Mimi,

Try They have fun fares for around 6 pounds each and the buses run throughout the day. I chose National Express as it puts me in Victoria Station near our hotel. (I really didn't want to be catchng the Tube on a Friday afternoon with luggage in tow). You may purchase tickets in advance with your credit card and print out an e-ticket which is nice to already have in hand when you disembark. Otherwise, the train is not a bad option however the megeatrain only runs 3 times daily and puts you into Waterloo Station. Depends a little bit just where you want to end up in London.

Hope that helps!

Cunard has a Custom Transfer Booking Form that will come with your first packet prior to your cruise. Depending on your party, you can book a private car, deluxe car, or a mini van that will drop you off at your hotel in London.

There will be another couple with us, so we are booking the private mini van. It accomodates 4 people and 6 suitcases maximum. The current price is $395 per vehicle. This appears to be the easiest and quickest way for us to get to London. It will allow us to squeeze in an extra day of sightseeing.
