Hows It going?
I will be traveling, one way or another, from Argentina to make a flight In Sao Paolo Brazil in late september. I will have about one month for the trip and am wondering is it feasible to do the trip over land through Uraguay or Paraguay by bus etc. or should I just fly directly to somewhere in Brazil. I'm not sure if I have enough time to enjoy the trip overland, if there would be much to do along the way and weather or not public transport over this route is readily availible. I know this is a fairly broad itenerary but any info would be handy and appreciated,
You're going to want to look into visiting Foz de Iguazu which is on the Argentina/Brazil border. I highly recommend visiting, and it is about a 20-hour bus ride from Buenos Aires. If you can stomach the one long-haul bus ride, it is well worth it. Can't quite remember how long the bus ride was from there to Sao Paulo, but I don't think it was too bad.
Do it overland and 1 month is a good time for this length of journey if you will be stopping in places along the way.
Iguazu falls are a must see. then you could take some time in Southern Brazil. Florianapolis is a good place to see as well.
Thanks a lot for the information numero 1 and john7buck. lookin in to the places mentioned at the moment. Can't wait to get goin!!
