Crossing from England to Ireland

Travel Forums Europe Crossing from England to Ireland

I am headed to a wedding just south of Galway, and am thinking about spending some time in England first. Where do the ferries run between the islands, and how does one get north in Ireland without driving?

Try Holyhead or Pembroke in Wales, Liverpool in England, Stranraer or Troon in Scotland.

Irish ferries, P+O and a host of other companies run on the cheap.

Don't mean to be silly, but how do you think? Buses and trains of course.

There's a bus from Dublin to Belfast every hour.

There are also lots of ferries between England and Ireland - just remember to bring Gravol or something.
