I'm trying to think ahead and get some hostels reserved, and since my buddies and I would like to attend the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, we should probably reserve a hostel now (at the latest), but we are finding it very hard to track them down (short of calling them internationally and running up a huge phone bill, not to mention our lack of a spanish speaker (we do have german and italian covered, however))
BUT ANYWAYS...if anyone could give us an email address where we can contact someone to reserve a good hostel, we would be very grateful, thanks all
1)www.reaj.com, info at reaj.com or
residencia.fuerte.principe at cfnavarra.es
At thewebsite you need to reserve at
Autonomy: Cummnidad Foral de Navarra
Youth hostel: Albergue Juvenil Fuerte del Príncipe
4) A search on google should turn up ways to book these:
Husa Noain Aeropuerto
Hope this helps a bit.
When searching for an hostel in Spain, I find very useful this site: Infohostal.
I am adding more Pamplona hostels websites:
Mesón del barro
In reply to t_maia's post:
1. hostels there require groups of at least 10 or more, some even 20....we're only traveling in a group of 3 (including myself)
-I went to cfnavarra.es and it was very hard to navigate as I don't speak spanish
2. that website provides hotel-like accomodations which are way too extravagant for our needs, we just need a hostel bed, that's all...something cheap
3. this website doesn't give an english translation, so again, hard to navigate
In reply to karlmunch's post:
The infohosal site referred me to basically the same hostels as t_maia's post....the other links you provided at the bottom are either (1) all in spanish with no english translation, which again doesn't help me, or (2) links me to a more Hotel-like place, which is definitely too pricey.
I posted this thread in the hopes that someone who had actually been to pamplona, or someone who books hostels in pamplona could set me up with an email address with someone who speaks english so that I could get a reservation.
I appreciate everyone's help though, thanks
I couldnt get anywhere to stay last year. I was based in San Sebastian so just got the last bus through to pamplona the night before and then just went to the fireworks and carnival then bars and then slept in the middle of a roundabout. By 6am we made our way to the bull run and then after it just got the bus back to san seb. Unfortunatly we didnt see much of the bulls as it was PACK! Also make sure your wearing white with a red scarf or you will stick out. But all in all it was an amazing experience.
I agree with adell, it's going to be much easier to stay just outside of Pamplona as Pamplona is expensive and may be hard to find a place. I am going with 2 other friends and we are staying in Zaragoza(we have some frinds there) and renting a car so we don't have to sleep in a roundabout, lol. It is more convenient for us this way, but good luck with finding a place and I hope we have a good time and luck with the bulls!
