Hey Everyone

I'm currently staying at a hostel in Kings Cross that I really don't like so, I'm just after some advice as to where to try next?

Ideally I'd like to get out the Kings Cross area but as I can only really afford upto about 20 AUD a night, I realise that might not be possible.

If you guys could just let me know if you've stayed somehwere you really liked or, in fact, stayed somewhere you didn't I'd really appreciate it!

Many Thanks

There are some places in the city in Pitt Street. Not sure of the names of them, but they are on Pitt Street between Liverpool and Goulborn Streets. Train from Kings Cross to Town Hall, exit on to George Street, walk to Pitt Street (next street heading east), turn right, and keep going.

Try and follow the directions they give you prices and have other travellers ratings re hostels. I hope that helps

The 3 best hostels in the Sydney city region are:

Sydney Central YHA (cnr Pitt St and Rawson Pl) - is a little bit more expensive, but is the 2nd largest YHA in the world and is beautiful!

Wake Up - Opposite Railway Square near Central station. Similar size to SC YHA and possibly a few dollars cheaper per night.

Railway square YHA - Modern converted loading sheds into a hostel. Architecturally beautiful and around $28 per night for a dormitory.

These are all close to everything, and Wake Up and Sydney Central YHA have bars on site that are pretty decent for backpackers!
Hope this helps..
