I ate basashi 馬刺し, in Japan. It's raw horse meat and you eat it with wasabi and raddish. It was surprisingly dull... it didn't have much taste to it at all. The thought of it made me want to throw up, but I still go by my policy of trying most things once. I almost tried whale, but my concience got the better of me.

Nastiest craziest thing I've ever eaten was "Balut" in Manila, Phillipines. Here is a pic of me getting ready to eat balut

by the way, "balut" is a Filipino cuisine, it's something like part duck egg and part duck fetus

No, but my dad loved it - right up there with gefilte fish. (This from a man who hated fish in any other form - go fig!) Fish is icky!!!!!

I agree...fish is icky!! But lutefisk and gefilte are absolutely ...inedible! :P blechhhh....My grandmother made lutefisk a couple of times a year....we spit it into our napkin after the first time she made us eat it.....I don't think she ever caught on....;)

Have someone outside Sweden actually tried this disgusting stuff!? I'm shocked. Though I don't agree, it's not weird, it's just disgusting. My mum tried to make us eat it every Christmas day but now we finally made her realize that we all hate it.

weirdest thing I've eaten must be cuí, or guinea pig. Taste is quite good, though... some regular stuff (BigMacs included!) tastes a whole lot worse.
