I've heard alot of nice things about Brugges.
I'm on a business trip to Brussels. However I'm only able to extend my self for a day extra. I'll be staying in Brussels, but I don't think I've time to see Brussels it self.
However I wish to catch a glimpse on Brugges. Can anyone help me on what are the fastest way to travel from Brussels to Brugges, and normally how long the journey will take. Assuming a day trip to Brugges, do U think I've enough time to catch back in Brussels probably during late evening?
I was in Belguim for a whole 2 days and managed to see Brugge for a full day (and still catch the main sites in Brussels). Take the train up from Brussels - it's only about an hour's ride or so. You can walk around the town in a day and easily catch the train back in the evening. People told us not to miss it, and they were right. It's simply stunning.
Hi there tway,
Thanks for the advice, however I only got a day to visit.
Will try to grab a return train from Brussels then.
From Bruxelles there is every 30 minutes a train to Brugge. The trip will take about 59 minutes and will cost you € 23.60 (return ticket). More info you can find on http://www.b-rail.be/main/index.html
Thanks to the information! I came accross on my Lonely Planet book stating that, there'll be a further reduction up to 40% on the rail fare if you're travelling during the weekend.
Anyway, thanks for the info!
