It's come to the time where I have to choose a university.
And like a predictable teenager, nightlife is my absolutely no 1 priority.
I'm in to clubbing, pubbing, liking the underground and drum&bass scene very much at the minute (I live in London right now) the sort of person whos most likely to stay at a rave until the middle of the next day.
I wanna get away from London, one for some independence and also I don't really wanna do it to death. I've been looking at Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield etc anyone know what is the absolute best city for wild nights out or just some good suggestions?
Manchester is a great night out!
Right im gonna be contravertial here and say Bournemouth!! went to uni there still live there and the place is great buy the beach great night life.
Even more so - if its a city you want then (not in England i know) Cardiff rocks great night life, milleniam stadium, loads of bands playing all the time, student scene great student areas nr city centre. Not a sheep in sight.

Bath!!! Amazing city, it's cool, vibrant, historial, amazingly beautiful and has some amazing spas!! =D
London. Minus the living expenses lol
Thanks for the information! I'm getting ready to apply for the HSMP at the end of the month and didn't know when would be a good time to go because I'm afraid that there wouldn't be many IT jobs available due to the threat of recession in the US which is impacting a lot of countries around the world.
Anyway I was thinking of going to Bristol if I didn't like London because hopefully it'll be warmer and closer to the Cotswolds which I heard have some great gardens. Also because it's close to the sea, maybe I'll be able to find some crewing positions onboard some boats.
If you had to choose between SHEFFIELD, LEEDS, LIVERPOOL, NOTTINGHAM and BIRMINGHAM which would you choose and why. Also, if you've heard anything bad about any of those five please say.
or, which would be even more useful, rank them from one to five, i have to choose one to go to uni at :|
i guess a lot of ppl seem to be having a hard time choosing a place to live in the UK...well, I just got admission into Newcastle University and the University of Glasgow....I know they're both great Universities but I haven't a clue about the cities... :S....so can anyone help me out?! Newcastle or Glasgow??
