ostmackan has indicated that this thread is about Australia

Im planning a trip to oz, and I see the price for a ticket differs quite a lot.
So im asking you, who live in europe, how much did you pay for a your ticket to australia, which company did you use, from wich airport a.s.o. It would be really good to know.

I booked my flight with Thomson (TUI). I fly from Manchester on the 15th July '06 with Emirates. The total cost was £927 with one free date change included. I had two other quotes from STA and a local travel agent for the same flight and these were at least £100 more.

Cez x;)

I booked up in January for my trip to Oz, leaving on 23 April via Hong Kong. I did it through STA and I'm flying with Cathay Pacific at a cost of £608. It will cost me £25 to change the return flight time. The flight is from Heathrow to Sydney

Oh your posts have cheered me up - not that l want to gloat but we used our airmiles to fly to Oz and then on to NZ on 23rd Dec and the round trip is costing us under £200 in tax! I cant believe how much we are saving (well sort of saving cos we had to pay for a lot of other flights to accumulate the airmiles l suppose!)
