Hi Friends,

I would like to go to Sea World, WB Movie World and Dream World, with 2 kids (below 10 years) I have some querries:

1. There are many beaches in gold coast if I want to go to Sea World, WB Movie World and Dream World in what beach I should stay? (the nearest place/beach location adjacent to dream world) since I bring kids.
2. Dream world theme park is design for adult entertainment or there are also many kid entertainments inside dream world?
3. What is the cheapest method to buy admission ticket (forget about phone call and internet book) for us 2 adult and 2 children? let me know whether cheaper to buy via agent, or at entrance gate or at gold coast airport?
4. Is there any 3 park super pass i.e. for dream world, sea world and WB movie world?
5. What is the cheapest mode of transportation for 3 days (pass)?
6. Need info about hostel/backpackers aournd Sea world, WB Movie World, and dream world

Thank you in advance

Hi Grace,

Our family (2 adults & 3 kids (4yo, 8yo, 10yo)) just returned from the Gold Coast.

1. There are many beaches in gold coast if I want to go to Sea World, WB Movie World and Dream World in what beach I should stay? (the nearest place/beach location adjacent to dream world) since I bring kids.

If you want to stay right near the beach, I'd recommend Southport (which is at the Northern end of the Gold Coast) on the beach. Sea World is very close (walking distance) to Southport.

Dream World, Movie World and Wet & Wild are all about a 10-20 minute drive back away from the coast from Southport and are all basically in the same area (Oxenford). So if you dont want to stay right on the beach, then go for something around Oxenford/Helensvale.

2. Dream world theme park is design for adult entertainment or there are also many kid entertainments inside dream world?

Lots of stuff for kids - but also lots of big kid stuff.

3. What is the cheapest method to buy admission ticket (forget about phone call and internet book) for us 2 adult and 2 children? let me know whether cheaper to buy via agent, or at entrance gate or at gold coast airport?

They are all pretty expensive. If you hire a car - you will get some sort of discount voucher for one or more of the attractions.

4. Is there any 3 park super pass i.e. for dream world, sea world and WB movie world?

Yes.

5. What is the cheapest mode of transportation for 3 days (pass)?
Buses. There are heaps of buses which will probably be adequate - depending on where you stay and what else you wish to do.

We hired a (pretty deluxe) car for our last 3 days there and it cost about $250 (which was great to get around but not so great on the wallet).

6. Need info about hostel/backpackers aournd Sea world, WB Movie World, and dream world.

You will be able to get a basic cabin at a caravan park for a family of four for between $60 and $100 a night (depending on if you are there in holiday season), and where it is (ie on the beach will be more expensive).

I'd recommend Wet & Wild for the kids (and for you). Also I'd recommend a visit to the Tropical Fruit World just across the border in NSW. It's a bit of a drive, but they also have a bus service. Cost us about $100 for the family for the day (including fruit feast & ice creams) and was a really good (relaxing) day out for everyone. You'll see their brochures in the airport tourist info boards.

Happy travelling and dont forget your sunscreen,
Rosco.

I don't think that Dream World is close to the beach, so staying in Surfers Paradise proper would be suitable; plus there's lots of transport from there to Dream World.

2. Dream world theme park is design for adult entertainment or there are also many kid entertainments inside dream world?

Yes, there are some. A good place for kids and adults, but don't expect Disneyland.

3. What is the cheapest method to buy admission ticket (forget about phone call and internet book) for us 2 adult and 2 children? let me know whether cheaper to buy via agent, or at entrance gate or at gold coast airport?

It depends. If you buy via an agent or similar they will probably quote you a price which includes transport to and from the park.

4. Is there any 3 park super pass i.e. for dream world, sea world and WB movie world?

Yes there is. Have a look at:

5. What is the cheapest mode of transportation for 3 days (pass)?

I don't know.

These 3 parks are a fair way away from each other. I think Sea World is the closest one to Surfers Paradise. The other two don't really have accommodation options as they are in the middle of nowhere.
Thank you in advance
