yeh like reece said-just don't seclude yourself, thats the biggest mistake people that travel together make-especially couples.

Poeple will tend to leave you alone if you look like you just want to be together all the time.

I actually travelled with a great couple in OZ last year but they were the only couple that i saw that socialised with others!

You know they say the secret to a long and happy marriage is to go on regular holidays.
She goes on holiday, you go on holiday.

I do think we will be fine and i truely cant imagine not going and sharing everthing with her!

I've been traveling with Beerman since 1987 (we married in 1990) and neither of us can imagine going anywhere without the other if not required. Well, I take that back... We can imagine it because I just did a 10 day trip with a very close friend and things did not go as well as expected. (The friendship may be over...)

As everyone has said here - just don't cloister yourselves in a room somewhere. If you both enjoy getting out and doing/seeing things, then you will meet people. We met two people in Jamaica (1993) and they are still very good friends. The effort you put into it will be returned by someone you meet - it's really that simple. ;)

Investing in property together is another secret to a long and happy marriage.

You live in one house, she lives in another

I travelled alone through asia and I met a really friendly couple. It really depends on the couple whether they are open to meeting people. Like others has mentioned, that you can feel a couple when they want to be left alone.

It sounds like you want to meet people so you won`t have any problems and will have lots of fun.:)

IMO whether or not you meet new people just depends on how open and receptive you are to other travellers and whether you bother to interact with them. If you stay in dorms at hostels and hang out in the common areas talking to people you will meet plenty of people. If you stay in private rooms and don't make an effort with other travellers than you probably won't meet as many.
