Great post....

Sam I Am is left over from these Green Eggs and Ham books by Dr. Seuss. They're kid stories in case you haven't heard of them... anyway, being called 'Samuel', the link was soon made and I've had it as a 'half nickname' for years now. On most forums I hang out on it's my nickname.... I guess I don't hang out on forums where my nickname is already taken

Like Pete, I used to have a different one; sdaams... but not changing back either now... too many usernames gets really confusing!!!!

Sam

That Sam-I-am!
That Sam-I-am!
I do not like that Sam-I-am!

Do you like
green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
I do not like
green eggs and ham.

Would you like them
here or there?

I would not like them
here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.

I do not like
green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

Would you like them in a house?
Would you like them with a mouse?

I do not like them
in a house.
I do not like them
with a mouse.
I do not like them
here or there.
I do not like them
anywhere.
I do not like
green eggs and ham.
I do not like them,
Sam-I-am.

Would you eat them
in a box?
Would you eat them
with a fox?

Not in a box.
Not with a fox.
Not in a house.
Not with a mouse.
I would not eat them
here or there.
I would not eat them anywhere.
I would not eat green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

;)

I quite like green eggs and ham, do you have a red hat like sam I am? and will you see the film? I think I might boycott

I saw part of that film in the CD store at the local mall and it looked pretty rediculous- I really wouldn't question you if you chose to boycott it, mim! That's exactly what I thought when I read your nickname, Sam, about the Dr. Seuss books. In fact, if my name was Sam, I would probably do the same thing! ;)

Bluewaav is something I thought up because my favourite color is blue and I wanted an email address with the word blue in it and I wanted it to be original. I tried so many things but I always got things like very_blue20134 or something annoying like that. So then I thought of bluewaav, and I thought it was cool (yeah, I'm a loser, I know ). The good thing about it is that no one else has that nickname. Anywhere I go on the net, on message boards, chat rooms, and most of my email addresses start with bluewaav . .. .

Otherwsie I would be Steph, but it is such a common name and there are so many Stephs that I just gave up on that one. I usually sign Peace, Steph because I actually prefer to be refered to by my real name. I don't think it would make me a victum of identity theft considering that there are so many Stephanies out there.

Peace,
Steph

Ok here is my geeky explination: mtl is the abreviation for Montreal, Canada, where I live, and chica, well, is beacuse I'm a female ;) I usually go by chicadoodle everywhere, but I thought I'd mix it up this time around :) And its funny because most people ask me if I'm hispanic, but I'm not, I just thought chicadoodle was funny, and as I said, I got creative on here and transformed it to mtlchica. Ooooooo, the secret is finally told! lol

Cheers,
Katie ;)

my username "harish" is - well - my name. however, it is quite a common one in India. So, it is very difficult for me to get it as a "username" on most popular website. And with huge expat Indian populations in the US and UK, I do not get just my name as a "username" websites popular in these countries. So, it was pleasant surprise that I managed to get it on this site

And if you wondering what it stands for:

HARISH - Means "lord of monkeys" from Sanskrit hari "monkey" and is a "lord". This is another name of the Hindu god Vishnu.

Moral of the story: No more searches for the meaning of my name. Otherwise, I will end up humiliating myself. Period.

Harish.

once again a good topic - it's interesting/funny to read all those explanations!

well, my username was (in switzerland/ still is in the rest of the world...) a scent at the body shop and i loved the smell... and because my sign is cancer (it's "planet" is the moon) and i like astrology i thought that's perfect!;)
yes, i used this username for most of my other logins on other sites too, but i created my e-mail address to early to use it for that too - and now i'm too lazy to change the address... maybe i'll do it later once?!

cheers,
marina

i tried to get the username 'paul' but some inconsiderate person stole it on me. so i use the phonetic spelling 'pawl' instead. does anyone else think it's weird that the word phonetic doesn't start with an f?;)

well...here i go...

my last name is "ahl" here in germany, we have many turks living here and thus they like to call me ali (making a trip to town real fun...someone calls "ALI!!!" and 30 people - including myself turn around:) ) i didn´t want to be mistaken for a turk - considering that this is a travel forum - so i turned it into alibaba. the "rs" is short for "remscheid" - the city i live in. and the seven was just a mess up! i wanted 77 - my year of birth and didn´t have enough room pretty exciting and fun to see how everybody makes his/her own special thoughts! great post!!
