Calcruzer comes from:

Cal for California; cruz because I live near Santa Cruz (on the coast between San Francisco and Monterey)

and because I cruise all over California, I cruise the internet, and I'm just kind of cruising through life trying to enjoy the experience.

I hope you're enjoying your life, too. I think traveling is one of the best ways to enjoy it.

I think most of us use our real name for a user name because that´s who we are. I mean, you know yourself for your name, that´s your title...but we forget, what´s the problem in beeing someone different? Why do we have to have labels?
Specially here, on the internet...we can be who we wanna be, even a cotton tree!!;)

Thought I might revive this old topic....

Feeling bit guilty because just become a travel guru but everyone who clicks on my profile will see that my real name is Clara and I haven't corrected people calling me Liz, which is my middle name. (But it does say on profile!)

When I first found TP I thought i might only go on once or twice ..ha..ha.. So I must have been thinking about my height and came up with Lil Liz, from my middle name because it sounded better with all the L's. This was before Lil J got so addicted to TP (I'm not a copycat as well as a con artist) Also having never been on a internet forum before I think I may have wanted a bit of anonimity, although I'm not bothered now.

Wished I'd changed it straight away but it would have confused people.

So sorry folks...For all anyone knows I could be a 57 year old bloke called Geoff.

Clara
xxxx

Ps In actual fact i am one of the most honest people you could meet!

Aaah, so Clara it is ;)

You know if you really want to, you can actually change your username through the control panel.. might be a bit confusing at first, but I'm sure people would get used to it :) maybe "Lil Clara"

Quoting IMonaghan

Having your initials be I P... anything is tough when you are in grade school

I have only just noticed this thread and weren't prepared to read throo all the posts, but seeing this one at the start made me wanna tell you one of my lecturer's names... A. P. Daly... Depending on the accent with which it is said, it can almost be I. P. Daly... Sorry!! (I'll bet she got her fair share of stick at skool!)

Anyway, my username is a name I was branded with a few years ago when I registered with a modelling agency in attempt to get my newborn daughter on their books... For those who don't know, here in the UK we have little kinda plastic do-it-yourself model airoplanes, tanks, cars, boats, etc., etc., and the company who make them... You've guessed it... It's Airfix... Are they anywhere else too, or just in the UK..?

My real name is Mike, and I'm almost certain, for those who have looked, it's on my profile...

hehe... I have just checked and my name IS on my profile... I didn't think I was afraid of who I am... ;)

Just kidding... I remember completing my profile and kinda being a bit reluctant about divulging too many personal details for fear of not really knowing what this site was about... But I was here looking for help and didn't want to try to cloud any help that was offered by not having a completed profile, at least...

And now that I'm kinda getting to know you all (well, some of you at least), I've realised you're a trustworthy bunch and would even be prepared to offer my credit card details to anyone who wants them...

hehe... Of course, I am kidding, again!!

I'm 5'6, small for a fella and when i moved to london everyone called me Wee Joe because i say 'wee' to mean small(ive since found out that 'wee' is what people call piss in england, nice).

I wish it was something like GregW's acronym....

...which is true, of course, but not my initial inspiration.;)
