What's all this negative crap about Bondi being full of yuppies?

I also remember when Bondi was "working class" and it was a depressing hole of a place. It's certainly much better now. I'd rather Bondi full of yuppies than unemployed losers.

Quoting algore

Heh, I remember the old Papa Giovanni's and the old Gelato Bar before they got redone up to be more 'trendy'. Personally I think McDonald's had something to do with it...

Oh yeah, it's all the work of Ronald McDonald.

McDonalds added the touch of class that was missing from Bondi for so long. The "working class" took one look at those fancy wrapped burgers and those upmarket shakes, gave their landlords notice and caught the next train to Mount Druitt

Hey I needed a scapegoat and that was the closest I could get to one

The problem with Bondi now is that its overrun by non-locals. And don't you go comparing Bondi with Mt Druitt. Everyone knows they're all bogans out there anyway ;)

Bondi would be alright if it was still part of Australia.
Whenever i feel like going on holidays i just take a trip down to the Junction. It's like living in Ireland all over again.
If your after beaches i recommend forgetting about both Bondi and Coogee and get yourself to Bronte or Clovelly or even better one of the beaches on the Northside.

OK, now I am confused as hell. If the aussies can't make up their mind on where to go, how on earth am I supposed to make an informed (by the Aussies) decision.

So which one should it be? Bondi or Coogee?

James, you're not a yuppie are you? Sarcastic as hell I know, but a yuppie is a bit OTT isn't it?

I'm no yuppie, but I have been called a capable uncomplicated nice teamplayer on a number of occassions .

As for Bondi or Coogee, I'd pick Cronulla

Trying to read between the lines here, but I would suggest your taking the piss? Cronulla? Never heard of it.
