Hola Compadres,

My three amigos and I are looking to spend some time in SA this July for roughly 25+ days. Our preliminary research has really only told us one thing, this continent is huge and we need to limit our destinations to a reasonable plan.

I am a novice traveler who mainly has just started crossing off US states (bout 30) and some Mexico, one friend has lived in Florence Italy for a semester and seen Europe a couple times, the last I think has been to every continent minus south africa and south America.

Us three would like to see some great cities, history, nightlife, beaches, and of course nature.

Right now we're looking at landing in Buenos Aires, going to the falls, maybe stopping at Montevideo (dont know much about it though), then Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Also we think that Patagonia and Amazonia are key.

My question is what should we reasonable aim for? We will be traveling by bus and staying cheap where safe. We've considered doing an eco tour.

How are you planning on getting around? If you want to do B.A., Iguazu Falls, Patagonia and Rio and the Amazon in 25 days, it'll be tough unless you are going to do some flying. Even then, that's probably a lot to do.

Personally, given what you want to see I would start in B.A. and head north and dropping Patagonia. It's beautiful, but if you want cities, nightlife, beaches and nature, it might be better heading North.

That's what I was thinking.

What kind of weather should I expect during the month of July? Is there any activity that I should not go for due to any weather issues?

Thanks
