Hi everyone!
If anyone can help with this, it'd be much appreciated!! shpuld i convert all currency from sterling to bait in Thailand ( Bangkok) or should I just do it all here in the UK before I leave?
Would i be saving loads of money by doing it in Thailand ( i'm bringing £300 with me) & is it worth the hassle of doing it when I land?

Ok, thanks!

its really easy to change your money in thailand. probably get a better rate as well. you can do it at the airport, but i would suggest checking out somewhere when u get to the hotel or area your going too. airports usually have pretty high rates. there are tons of money exchange places all over.

You will get less return for your money when you change it over in the UK. You will get your best rate for your money in Thailand.

When you change your money over in Thailand make sure you get some small bills for paying taxi cabs and making small purchases.

If you are a member of a credit union back home you may be able to get Travellers Checks for free through them. TC's get you a slightly better return in Thailand than cash. Stick to the large denominations only if you go with TC's. The fee for cashing a TC is 33 baht, quite a bit cheaper than the fee for using an ATM overseas.

Always put your valuables in a safety/security box at your hotel and hide the key to the box. You have to be cautious of the hotel staff and the fellow traveller in the next room to you too!
