I'm visiting Hong Kong in Early May.

Any suggestions on where to shop for cheap & good fashion (casual & office wear)?

Also, I really miss the "ta pai dong" (aka street vendors) selling smelly toufu, cheong fun, porridge, etc. Heard from a friend there's no such vendors these days. Is it true?

hi there,
I was in HK over the xmas, shopping wise Kowloon has loads of shops/malls, food wise i never had a bad meal - check out the HK tourist website. It has all the addresses of the markets and malls etc...
Garantee you ought to have a good time

along Mong Kok the ladies market shud get u some smelly toufu... yau ma tei temple street shud hv some tai pai dong.

hopefully the sales start, normally is around end may till late august... very cheap & good bargain.

mongkok & "jim tsa tsui" is my first choice for shopping

It's important to bargain with the merchants & I always find good deals on Li Yuen Streets, East & West, two alleys, running parallel to each other between the Des Voeux Road and Queen's Road Central. There's also another alley in Causeway Bay near a subway exit. I don't remember it's name, but if you ask around, you'll find it.
