Hi am new to this board so if this quetion has been asked a million times then am sorry. Am just curios how much money to take traveling around southeast asia for about 3 or 4 months? I wont be staying in any big hotels or getting flights everything will be done on coaches or train. Basically the cheaper the better ! I was thinking of starting in thailand then cambodia vietnam and back to thailand. i know this is`nt a easy quetion becouse everone differs when traveling. just a rough estimate would do or let me know how much you spent on previous trips.
Oh am 27 and from england .
Yes this has been discussed often. I just answered this in a thread; 'going to bangkok in 4 weeks'. Basically figure $10-15 daily in Thailand, Cambodia, VietNam. There is a wealth of information in older posts and you can tap into the travel helpers for that country. I just got back from VietNam, Cambodia, Thailand. PM me if you want details.
I've just returned from a 3 month trip to SE Asia. I didn't do it the cheapest way or the 5 star way. PM me if you need details of how much things cost, or what you're looking for etc.
Hey, plese include Bangladesh also in your list. This country is very cheap. You can get here a very good hotl room only for USD 7 (Air con)
Been curious about this question too. I'm taking approximately $3500 USD for approximately 2 months. Plan to do mostly island hopping in Southern Thailand but also go to Bangkok and Chang Mai, Cambodia, Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur, Malaya and Philipines.
I will be there from June-mid August which I know is low/rainy season so hopefully it's a bit cheaper
Anyone care to post their approximate expenses here?
im off for two months.. between the middle of june to the middle of august and if u spend on average 15 dollars a day.. $900 (£562) will cover spending!! ?? wowza i think i might hav over budgetted!!
