I've recently returned home after travelling and living overseas for the last 4 years and have just realised i have no souveniers,i've got maybe 3 t-shirts with some foreign stuff on them but thats it......i don't really have many photos.
Does anyone else do this?

I am a photo freak, but I don't really collect souveniers.
Occasionally, but not often.

Join the club,
seems the only ones i ever pick up are the odd flu or postcard.

I think when we are so immersed in it, we tend to forget that we are still "tourists" of a sort.

I collect shotglasses, and I am a photo freak, but there are some countries that I've returned home and realized that I have no souvenir (shotglass) from. What a piss off.

LOL
As a very true backpacker,it is a survival question to me not to take anything more in my pack...buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...
Even if I "could",I would take nothing,I mean nothing material.Because I don't go anywhere looking for material things.I go to feel the blood in my vains, the life in my heart. And I am full of memories, more than if I were one thousand years old.Don't focus on the souvenirs, love fully every moment, this is the greatest treasure you can offer to yourself, and the only one than will never get lost or broken...

I don't collect anything. Sometimes I don't even take pictures.

But I always buy and send postcards.

I don't really make it a point to buy souvenirs, unless it's something I really like. I do take pictures, though. I think as we travel more, we are less "touristy" and more exploratory, and souvenirs aren't as important, though it's always nice to have some little trinket as a remembrance of a place you visited.
