I'm weeping profusely. I don't recognize my own stadium on TV anymore. What have they done to my poor, poor Cardinals?

Sleepless in St. Louis

Amanda - sometimes change is good... It will still be Busch Stadium.... (I know - little consolation there.)

I felt the same way when they revamped Soldier Field in Chicago. I liked the old Soldier Field. But, now that I have been to a couple of games in the new one - I can't compalin. They did some really cool things with it and finally there is a "jumbotron"!!!

You have our sympathies - well, at least mine!!!!! I'm sure Beerman will feel your pain too - maybe - probably - good chance... ;)

Isa hands Amanda a box of tissue, a scorecard and a Bud (not Bud Light) so she can drown her sorrows.

Damn, I was going to be all evil here......things like penance for past wrongs (get it, penance-pennants? mwuahahahahaha), the Hex-of-the-McGwire Syndrome, the concession beer.......

Alas, I cannot. Indeed, I feel your pain. Is it just below the ribs, kind of like gas?

I shall be comforting and pass you a large box of Kleenex. And some beer. But not Bud.

There there now, it'll be OK, just give it a chance to sink in.....think of it this way....they probably upgraded the restrooms. The new Soldier Field restrooms were honestly the nicest public restrooms I'd ever been in. Not that you WANT to spend much time there (the public ones), but at least the time you HAVE to spend there can be more pleasant.

....don't get me started on the Rams, though.....

uh... Who are the Rams? I think I heard about them once, a long time ago.

The new stadium looks nice, and we do have probably a better view of the Arch now, but they have fewer seats, and fewer cheap seats, a.k.a. upper terrace, which is where the real fans sit, and the real fun is!

I'm getting old and set in my ways. Not a Cubbies fan, but if they so much as lay a hand on Wrigley... Just look for me at the top of the clocktower, calmly talking men using megaphones below.

Had no idea we'd even picked up Incarnacion, who is kinda lazy in the outfield. Bodes no good for my Jimmy E.

And, yes. Beer. Beer shall save me. Methinks the brewery calls.

In Homer voice: " beer. Woo hoo! Yes!"

Why did they replace the old stadium.
I saw it in August last year and even though it was from a distance ie The Arch it looked fine to me.
