i have about a month, maybe 6 weeks free to go anywhere in the world. there are lots of places i fancy but i can't make my mind up.
i'm not interested in south east asian destinations as i have spent a lot of time travelling there. similarly i'm not interested in europe.
money (for once!) isn't that much of an issue.
i'm an experienced traveller and enjoy meeting interesting people, wildlife spotting, temples, architecture, beaches, jungles, walking, biking... you name it i'll try it.
i prefer adventurous travel to more sedate travel.
where should i go and why?
When are you thinking of going?
That's probably the first thing to bear in mind, cos a lot depends on seasons, as you'll know having been to SE Asia.
may/june. the reason is that i am embarking on the first stage of my career as of june or july this year. i fancy taking a bit of abreak before i knuckle down. i have spent the last few years working to travel again if you know what mean? now i am kinda looking forward to a bit of stability.
so yeah.... late may to june time this year i will be off.

I think if I were you I'd look into South America. Though May/June may be a bit late to head down to Patagonia, I think you will find much of what you're looking for in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
Australia and New Zealand might be good choices too.
I suppose that you should travel to INDIA.
All that you wanted in a travel are available in India.
Have a nice trip.
kenya is a very nice place for what you are looking for.
Central Asia. Have been thinking of going, especially to Iran, and am reading like crazy about the country right now. Doing the Silk route by train should be interesting.
-Turkey-Syria or -Iran-Pakistan-India. Figure it out.
The trip of your lifetime!
Cuba is well worth spending a month in apparently. I haven't done it yet, but loads of friends have and they have all had fantastic times there.
New to all this travelling and only starting out on what hopefully will be rip of a life time in November, i know I'ma bit ahead of myself but off work injured so getting a heads up on facts and stuff.
Anybody any good tips for places to go avoid or general info
well May/June is the best time for all around weather in the US and if I were thinking adventure travel I'd probably consider Alaska.
or head to Nepal or Tibet...
