Desiree.... I do know what you mean about dress sense. I notice a lot of Dutch and German guys tend to dress very much in practical and sensible clothes rather than stylish. And there are the odd few guys on that side of the channel who are stuck in the 80s. But the world would be a much duller place if everyone looked really cool.

British guys don't seem to know how to be charming, to make a girl feel special. Well, at least none that i've ever met....

very true indeed..

but it was so funny to see some dutch guys in italy, with socks untill their knees, ugly shorts etc.. and than a italian guy in a perfect suit

Obviously ladies it's unfair to generalise but here it goes. Irish Men will always somehow make the lady feel special and appreciated or maybe that is just the Guinness

I heard a Chinese girl in Belfast complain that the only way an Irish guy ever approaches a girl is if he's staggering drunk. Mind, I've seen some noted exceptions. ;)

But I don't think Chinese people are usually very big drinkers, so she probably really noticed it. In reality, I reckon you could say the same about most blokes in Northern Europe, North America, Australia, NZ,.... etc.

Im putting in a good word for the British boys! What can i say, im a sucker for the accent...I also think that the German's make really wonderful friends, and i've never spent time with a kiwi and not had tremendous fun. The Italians are sleezy, as are the french...and most of the American boys as well, if your not from their country.

ah come on the dutch guys aren't that bad !!! i think they're a bit more relaxed about their clothes so fashion is a little less important, i personally don't like when a guy is too polished in suits or in fashion sense as it means he probably spends way too much time on his appearance that he's forgotten how to have fun....

as for the irish guys , well a lot of the nice guys have little or no confidence so i'm not suprised they wait till after a few drinks to approach girls,

Need to drink each time you want to approach a girl ???

moreover it's not the best way to get a good breath :)
(excepted if girls like guys who smell alcohol)

Well we don't have to always be drunk and it's handy to have the packet of chewing gum on stand by in case you hit it off but agree smell of drink can be off putting and that works for moth sexes

For the record, let me state that my particluar Irish guy was stone sober when we met - so in no way did I mean that to be a blanket statement about Irish men's blood-alcohol level when trying to pick up girls. I just thought the staggeringly drunk comment was an interesting reflection on one person's particular experience with Irish men. Canadian men tend to down a few awful pale ale's before working up their courage, too.
