It's beautiful out today - 20 C and climbing. After a long winter (although relatively mild this year - around the -10 C mark), there's nothing like being able to go outside minus boots and coat. All this sunshine makes winter worthwhile.

Porr Neal, though, is inundated in rain. That's what you get for a mild winter!

Heading into winter. Very dreary.

I can second that - its still raining - our winter kicked off in Feb with March being worse and its still not picking up - whilst it is mild compared to other countries for us poor wee Northern Irish folk its been bloody cold this year and with the cost of central heating fuel (gas/oil) its been an expensive winter:(

Same here Purdy, its been a little bit warmer last few days, but while folk down under are saying "we're heading into winter" I've wondered if its possible to have winter in both hemispheres at once!

I really have had enough of constantly feeling cold.

But it won't last forever!

Every time I read the title of this post, I remember a silly old song my Dad used to sing when we were kids. I've never heard it except from him - maybe he made it up...! Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Oh, it's springtime in the mountains
and I'm full of mountain dew
Can't even read my catalogue
like I used to do
I'm a-settin' in that little shed
that's right back of the house
Here's comes old Jake with all the hounds
but he's gonna hear me shout

Oh, I won't go huntin' with you, Jake,
but I'll go chasin' women
So put them hounds back in the pens
and quit your silly grinnin'
Well, the moon is bright, and I'm half tight
my life is just beginnin'
I won't go huntin' with you, Jake,
but I'll go chasin' women.

Nope! Never heard of it, Tina! However, I do like it and reckon that your dad should make some up for Summer, Autumn and Winter (that's if he made them up!) Can the next songs involve chasing men, etc ;)
